Outside of the theme customizer, you have a few options that are added to the post and page edit screens that give you more control over select elements. It also depends on whether you have a post or page open, but basically, you can manage these options individually per post.

Post Options – Classic Editor

In addition to the options and settings you see above, you also get a few extra options that are displayed in the editor view.

Post Editor settings for Natured

 

  1. Display Options — You can show or hide the featured image on the blog home page and also choose whether to show or hide it on the full post view.
  2. Featured Image — You can set your featured image
  3. Sidebar Image — You can set a custom sidebar image

Post Options – Block Editor

If you are using the Gutenberg Block Editor, your settings will be presented in a different way. For your Featured Image setting:

You will find these located in the right column of your block editor.

Page Options – Block Editor

The page editor screen will be slightly different as it relates to the “Display Options” when using the Gutenberg Block Editor. For the Display Options, you will find the settings are:

  1. Display Page Title — You can disable the page title.
  2. Display Share Buttons — You have the option to enable or disable the social sharing buttons on pages.

For your Featured Image setting:
